Job Objective
The Sheet Metal Technician is responsible for performing preventive and non- preventive maintenance, alterations, and inspections functions on various customer and company aircraft, engines, and appliances.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with appropriate personnel to repair aircraft and aircraft components as required
- Conduct inspections and functional tests to verify the proper operation of aircraft, aircraft systems and aircraft components using approved tools and diagnostic equipment
- Consult maintenance manuals, technical publications, and manufacturer specifications to determine accurate procedures for repairs and replacements
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and company policies
- Accurately develop and maintain records of maintenance actions, inspections, parts usage, and other documentation as required
- Maintain required certifications and stay current with industry standards, procedures, and aircraft system knowledge
- Perform maintenance tasks using OEM manuals, aircraft drawings, schematics, and standard symbols to accurately diagnose and repair issues
- Carry out additional maintenance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or Director of Maintenance

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer a valid FAA A&P certificate or in the process of completing certificate requirements or previous military experience
- Experience in a Part 145 Repair Station preferred
Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time
- Climbing heights on various equipment
- Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
- Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
- Moderate to loud noise level
- Heavy machinery used
Work Status, Schedule, Travel
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am-12:00 pm
- Overtime necessary depending on workload
- No travel required
