Job Objective
The Paint Preparation Technician is responsible to effectively prepare aircraft body parts for paint completion.
Essential Functions
- Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and masking
- Mix and apply fillers to aircraft body parts and fuselage
- Ensure that all surfaces are properly prepared for painting
- Sand and buff completed paint scheme on aircraft body parts and fuselage
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in paint preparation or a related field
- Knowledge of paint mixing and application techniques
Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time
- Climbing heights on various equipment
- Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
- Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required
Work Environment
- Indoor/Outdoor environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
- Moderate to loud noise level
- Heavy machinery used
Work Status, Schedule, Travel
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am-12:00 pm
- Overtime necessary depending on workload
- No travel required
