Job Objective
The Assistant Supplemental Type Certificate Coordinator assists in the development of new and maintenance of existing supplemental type certificates.
Essential Functions
- Assists with maintaining project schedules and provide updates to Supplemental Type Certificate Coordinator
- Coordinate, as needed or requested, with FAA Aircraft Certification Office and Designated Engineering Representatives on all projects
- Assist in development of all required documents to support supplemental type certificate approval (i.e. PSCP, MDL, FMS, ICA, flight/ground test plan/report, EMI test plan/report, FHA, EQS, etc.)
- Ensure all documents, approvals, communications are properly filed for historical reference
- Answer field questions pertaining to Metro Aviation’s supplemental type certificate
- Ensure documentation on file is kept at the latest approved revision level
- Maintain product support website
- Prepare and track certification docs to be submitted to the FAA for approval

- Ability to locate and interpret FAA regulations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Education & Experience
- Two-year degree preferred
- Previous supplemental type certificate experience required
- Previous medical supplemental type certificates preferred
Physical Demands
- Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling
- Climbing heights on various equipment
- Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
Work Environment
- Indoor/outdoor shop environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
- Moderate to loud noise level
Work Status, Schedule, & Travel
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Travel may be required – 10%
