• Maintains a close liaison with the Program Lead AMT to provide current status of aircraft maintenance events in progress and forecasts downtime
• The Hangar Manager retains supervisory responsibility for the assigned Aviation Maintenance Technicians
• Manages all inspection and maintenance events occurring within the Program Maintenance Facility
• Ensures proper sequencing of all aircraft maintenance activity and inspection events
• The Hangar Manager is a team leader that should recognize strengths and weaknesses of the hangar maintenance staff, make adaptations, and continually develop each individual through hands on training or real time OJT
• Assist with aircraft technical support, maintenance planning of daily tasks, short and long-term planning of all hangar level maintenance activity within the assigned program
• Ensure Company aircraft are maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards prescribed by applicable Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Metro Aviation’s policies and procedures
• Responsible for company Aviation Maintenance Technicians to be properly qualified and trained for their respective assignments
• Responsible for logging, tracking and keeping current inspection status with daily close of business reports on the Company Intranet Portal
• Ensure all necessary work order documents are completed, accurate and maintained in accordance with Metro Aviation policy and procedure
• Ensure the hangar environment is operating under conditions that promote safety and compliance within company standards and OSHA requirements
• Train and promote the professional development of the assigned Aviation Maintenance Technicians
• Oversee the execution of all duties assigned subordinates
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
• Inspection Authorization is a plus
• Extensive knowledge of all aircraft mechanical systems functions and interactions.
• Must possess a minimum of five (5) years experience with turbine powered rotorcraft or airplane experience
• Thorough working knowledge of all current FAA regulations
• FAR Part 135 experience a plus

• Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time
• Climbing heights on various equipment
• Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
• Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required

• Indoor/Outdoor environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
• Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
