Job Objective

The Part 145 Apprentice Maintenance Technician is responsible for gaining knowledge and experience while assisting supervisors within the Part 145 Repair Station team.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain familiarity with various departments within the Part 145 Repair Station
  • Ensure the hangar floor remains clean, organized, and free of debris
  • Assist with disassembly of aircraft interiors and accurately document removed parts and components in accordance with the Repair Station Manual
  • Clean aircraft, components, and work areas as directed
  • Perform general shop support duties as needed during daily operations
  • Assist with inventory management of STC kits
  • Retrieve hardware and parts from the stockroom as required
  • Complete tasks assigned by the Part 145 Repair Station team and any duties assigned by the Part 145 Director of Maintenance

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical background preferred
  • Valid driver's license

Physical Demands

  • Walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, kneeling, squatting for extended periods of time
  • Climbing heights on various equipment
  • Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
  • Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (High Visibility clothing, Ear protection, safety glasses) when required

Work Environment

  • Indoor/Outdoor environment with potential extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
  • Moderate to loud noise level 

Work Status, Schedule, Travel

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am-12:00 pm
  • Overtime necessary depending on workload 
  • No travel required
